The sail of a submarine does not have much at all to do with the reactor or its cooling system. In fact, the sail is welded to the outside of the pressure hull, so the interior of the boat is intact. Take it from someone that knows these things. If you don't believe me, check out Submarines for Dummies.<BR/><BR/>Oh, that is a picture of the USS Cole you have up...not the USS New Orleans.
