On December 8th, 2006, actor Alec Baldwin hosted the Clinic Symposium on the Campaign to Close Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant at The Rutgers Environmental Law Clinic in Newark, New Jersey.The campaign wants to block the 20-year renewal of the plant’s operating license. Baldwin said he wanted to take a public stand against Oyster Creek because New Jersey Governor Corzine, if pushed, has the potential to weigh in heavily against the renewal.
