June 27th, Public Informational Meeting on Indian Point Relicensing

Are You Inside The Circle Of Death?
First, the date of June 27th, 2007 as the NRC has scheduled its first public informational meeting on the relicensing of Indian Point. Secondly, we here at the Green Nuclear Butterfly found it rather interesting that a public meeting has been scheduled for a document (license renewal application) that has not been fully reviewed by, and officially approved by the NRC...just another example of where expediency of time in rubber stamping the license renewal is far more important than fairness to the public stakeholders.

Also, don't expect to get a lot of time for asking questions, since each of the two sessions scheduled for that day are only one and a half hours long.

Now That The NRC Has Granted The Public Two Separate Yet Equally Important Meetings On The Relicensing Process for Indian Point ….

The Public Needs to Attend!
Whether you believe Indian Point should operate an additional 20 years or not, these meetings are critical to understanding the process and to exercising your right to raise important issues with federal government officials.
