Expanding The Search Circle

One has to be vigilant when dealing with scum sucking nuclear monsters such as Entergy and their twin nuclear abortion machines that are visiting still births and untold THOUSANDS of cancers at the duped citizens of the Hudson River Valley. To that end, FUSE USA has been working behind the scenes in searching for the hidden Radiological data that Entergy has egregiously hidden and or twisted with the help of the NRC to make it appear that Indian Point is safe now, and for years into the future...

The first issue I would suggest citizens of Westechester County, as well as all those living in the five bouroughs of New York consider is the License Renewal Application, and WHAT WE ARE NOT BEING TOLD...I myself, Green Nuclear Butterfly, as well as FUSE USA have alleged all along that:

A) The license renewal application is RIGGED, that the NRC has been and will continue to RUBBER STAMP License Renewal Applications, including the application for Indian Point.

B) Entergy CHEATED on it's reactor core stress tests at Indian Point and other reactors it owns, controls or manages, and shared with the other industry reactor owners how they too could CHEAT on this critical test...in fact and deed, a reactor cannot be relicensed if it DOES NOT PASS THIS TEST. Entergy and other nuclear licensees CHEATED as they know their reactor cores are far more porous now than is safe for the general public, and that the risk of a instant implosion of a core from THERMAL SHOCK is not only a risk, but something that will happen to at least one reactor community in the next 20 years as a result of wrongful license extensions in the name of a Nuclear Renaissance. Am I the only one that finds it odd that the NRC claims they cannot find the same file on the EPRI Internet site that simple old me was able to locate? FACT...NRC is in colusion with the NEI and nuclear reactor owners to SAVE THE NUCLEAR industry under the guise of National Defense even if it means sacrificing and entire community such as New York City.

C) The License Renewal Application IS NOT JUST FOR 20 YEARS! NEI, NRC and Entergy are perpetuating a FRAUD upon our community. WE have alleged all along that the NRC intends to extend the 20 year license extension granted in this process to one of at least 40 years through a NON HEARING, NON PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT administrative order. You can find at this link, tacit admission on the part of Entergy that this is true. In fighting the same fight in a different arena that is FAR LESS PUBLIC Entergy uses as one of their arguements that the decommissioning funds for Indian Point will not be needed FOR AT LEAST SIXTY YEARS INTO THE FUTURE...hmmmm....2013 to 2033 plus another 20 years beyond that to 2053 comes out to 45 years! WAKE UP PUBLIC...if you do not get outraged, you are going to get stuck with Indian Point killing your babies, spreading breast cancer amount your wives, daughters and mothers for at least another FORTY FIVE YEARS!

Further, FUSE USA have reason to believe that Entergy, NEI and/or the NRC might have used Redstone to do some Tritium monitoring and/or modeling...to that end, we have filed a FOIA with this segment of the United States Army...more tidbits to follow. We would ENCOURAGE all REACTOR COMMUNITIES in AMERICA to file a FIOA with Redstone to find out if any Tritium testing/monitoring has been or is occuring in your community. It appears from your web site that Redstone provides some kind of tritium inventory/tracking/measurement services to both government and members of private industry. As a stakeholder living within 3 miles of the failing nuclear reactor facility known as Indian Point which is owned by the Entergy corporation, as a stakeholder aware that said site is leaking both Strontium 90 and Tritium into my environment, as a husband who attributes his wife's cancer to radioactive contaminants released from the Indian Point facility, I am always tracking down pathways for these and other carcinogens which Entergy goes to great extremes to keep out of the public domain.

Seeing the services that you offer, coupled with the fact that Redstone appears to be a segment of/department of our Federal Government, I am formally filing this FOIA request in which I seek the following release of information:

1. Any and all files, reports, papers, memos related to tritium. tritium releases, tritium dumps, tritium monitoring done by, or that Redstone is aware of within a 25 mile radius of Peekskill, New York.

2. Any letters, correspondence, files, reports, studies, papers, memos, notes and other underlying documents that establish mention or deal with Strontium 90, Tritium, Celsium 137, other nuclear industry contaminant streams and pathways, or that seek/suggest a relationship with, or an inquiry from NEI (Nuclear Energy Institute), EPRI, NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission), and the commercial nuclear industry, including specifically Exelon, Entergy, Areva and TVA.

3. Any letters, correspondence, files, reports, studies, papers, memos, notes and other underlying documents that establish, mention. suggest or tie the Commercial Nuclear Industry to the use of, or defense of Directed Energy in carrying out their security requirements as more fully defined under the DBT for nuclear power plants.

Indian Point Radiation Contributed to Or Caused My Wife's Cancer

Sure the Pro-Industry folks wish I would simply go away...hard to do when you live three miles from a problem plagued dangerous nuclear reactor wrongfully trying to get itself relicensed for another 20 years of operation...even harder to do when you find out your wife has breast cancer and you are convinced that Entergy's poor management, and Indian Point's leaking reactors play a crucial role in that cancer, and in the cancer of two of our cats. Carrying on the fight I was meant to be involved in, have recently filed more Petitions with the NRC...for those battling Entergy in the License Renewal Case, you might find the NRC's most recent response to that Petition interesting.

Mr. Martinelli,

The NRR Petition Review Board (PRB) has reviewed your 10CFR2.206
petition dated March 30, 2008, which requests enforcement action against
Indian Point 2 and 3. Your petition requests that the NRC suspend the
units operating licenses. You also requested that the NRC halt the
license renewal process.

You provided some supporting facts and known issues in your petition.

The PRB proposes to reject, due to insufficient facts, the basis in
paragraphs 1 and 2 as a basis for plant license suspension as the PRB
has no evidence that the current releases from the plant exceed the
NRC's regulatory limits. It is noted here, that though a release may

be within LEGAL LIMITS, it might not be low enough to protect human

health and the environment...the NRC is charged with protecting our

health first and foremost, and if that means ceasing operations because

NOW ADMITTED RELEASES are causing cancers, human health is at

risk, then the NRC must do its job, and suspend operations at the plant

until such time as the LEAKS into air, water and ground at stopped.

For paragraphs 3 and 4, the PRB is not aware of any hot leg leaks at
the facility (even if there were, there is no path to the groundwater).
The PRB is also not aware of any leaks in violation of the NRC's
regulations. This is a lie...the TRITIUM LEAKS are not within the

the constraints of the license, and the ongoing two year investigation

is proof of this reality. However, there are underground plumes containing
radioactive isotopes which have reached the Hudson River. The Press, The public

and attorneys need to TAKE NOTICE of this admission...we have the NRC admitting

in this email to me that radioactive leaks from the plant are reaching the Hudson River

The PRBproposes to combine this aspect of your petition with your previous
petition dated June 25, 2007, on groundwater contamination, which the
NRC accepted for review by letter dated February 1, 2008. A proposed
Director's Decision is being prepared for this petition, and is expected
to be issued by May 30, 2008.

For paragraph 5, the PRB acknowledges that Entergy is in violation of
two NRC orders on the new siren system, and the new siren system is
still not in operation. With my wife now in a high risk group, a non-working

siren in the case of a release puts her at HIGH RISK of additional exposure

further elevating her cancer risk...yet the NRC refuses to take the needed

action of CLOSING THE PLANT till the sirens are working. Why?

The PRB proposes to combine this aspect of your
petition with your previous petition dated September 28, 2007, on the
new siren system, which the NRC accepted for review by letter dated
February 12, 2008. A proposed Director's Decision is being prepared for
this petition. Due to the complexities involved with this proposed
Director's Decision, it is not expected to be issued until October
2008.

You also requested that the NRC halt the license renewal process for
Indian Point 2 and 3. Because this request is not for an
enforcement-related action, it does not meet the criteria for acceptance
in the 10 CFR 2.206 process. My request is an enforcement-related action.

The board has the right to take action on ANY LICENSE or License procedure

because of rules violations, and that would include stopping the license renewal activity

until such time as Entergy is within FULL COMPLIANCE.

You may discuss your petition with the PRB if you desire to comment on
the PRB's recommendations or present additional information. This may be
in a public meeting at NRC headquarters in Rockville, MD, or by
teleconference. If it is by teleconference, it will be recorded,
transcribed, and added to the public record. Please let me know by April
22, 2008, if you want a discussion with the PRB, and I will arrange a
mutually agreeable date. The licensee will be invited to participate.

Your petition has not been made public yet, but I am in the process of

Hi All:

As some of you know, and some do not, I have been working very hard on the issue of Indian Point, trying to either A) stop it's relicensing for a period of 20 more years, or B) if said plant is relicensed, have some of the serious safety issues addressed before it is relicensed. (Examples would include for instance the strontium and tritium leaks on the Indian Point site that are finding their way into the ground water, and into the Hudson River, lack of any mention in the Environmental Report of Refurbishment-even though Entergy has two reactor vessel heads on order, as well as health concerns related to Entergy's continued operation.)

Right now, I am putting the final touches on a Petition to Intervene, and Formal Request for a hearing that will be sent off to the NRC. Said Petition raises 17 Contentions specifically related to Indian Point 3, and I and FUSE USA are looking for a few people concerned with our environment to co-sign this petition today. NRC Names Three Judge Panel For Indian Point Application

Seems that the NRC is trying to get a jump on the judicial process related to Entergy's fatally flawed application for license renewal of the Indian Point reactors. In short, those of us seeking to intervene in the process should be prepared for some dirty tricks including a massive number of Entergy Christmas season attempts to get our contentions tossed out. We need a picture of the Grinch holding and Entergy sign.

Atomic Safety and Licensing Board established Indian Point license renewal

Washington -- A three-judge board has been established to review requests for a hearing on the license renewal application for the Indian Point nuclear power plant in Buchanan. Should a hearing regarding the application take place, the board would also conduct that proceeding.

The board is drawn from the Atomic Safety & Licensing Board Panel, which is a judicial component of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission tasked with conducting all licensing and other hearings as directed by the presidentially appointed commission that oversees the NRC.

The ASLBP operates independently of the NRC technical staff. The judges named by ASLBP Chief Administrative Judge E. Roy Hawkens to preside over the Indian Point proceeding are Lawrence McDade, who will serve as chairman; Dr. Richard Wardwell; and Dr. Kaye Lathrop.

Most boards are composed of one judge who is qualified in conducting administrative proceedings, who is a lawyer, and two judges who have technical qualifications appropriate to the issues in the proceedings, who are scientists or engineers.

Under NRC regulations, the original operating license for a nuclear power plant has a term of 40 years. The license may be renewed for up to an additional 20 years if NRC requirements are met. The current operating licenses for Indian Point Units 2 and 3 expire, respectively, on Sept. 28, 2013, and Dec. 12, 2015.

Entergy’s license renewal application for Indian Point was received by the NRC on April 30, 2007.The deadline for the receipt of requests for a hearing on the application is Nov. 30, 2007.

The Hudson River Without Indian Point...Let's Go Back To The Future

Entergy wants to relicense for another 20 years its creaking, dilapidated reactors known as IP2 and IP3, or collectively the Indian Point Energy Center. Those reactors are leaking strontium 90, tritium, cesium and other radiological poisons into our environment, into the Hudson River. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has decided it is acceptable for some of us to die from horrid cancers with each passing day, month and year that Indian Point continues to operate. They spout out formulas, and speak about vague idealistic concepts like Acceptable Risk. Acceptable Risk by what standard? ALARA, where the licensee can state they are doing the best that they can, and the NRC says that is good enough?

Have you, your mother, your daughter, even your grandmother suffered the tragic pains of breast cancer? Has one of your children or relatives been struck down with leukemia, or gone through the painful process of being treated for thyroid cancer? If you can answer yes to any of these, you need to look UP RIVER to Indian Point each and every time you flip your light switch, or turn on a lamp...are those kilowatts of electric power worth it? Should we instead be looking at other alternatives such as conservation, wind, hydro, and as yet unknown and under funded alternatives to a power source that indiscriminately kills?

We have choices, alternatives to a radiological death knocking indiscriminately at the doors of our families, our neighbors. We can choose as a community to tell the NRC no to the Grime Reaper living among us, its strontium 90, tritium spreading cancer like some silent plague can be vanquished. Imagine a Hudson River without these two spires of death rising into the air. Go back to the future, remember the view before those towers rose into the Sky, and then demand in unison that the NRC deny Entergy's License Renewal Application.

New York's future is OURS TO DECIDE. We have the power to take back our choices by marching on Entergy, by taking back the Public Regulatory Process, by demanding accountability. A few weekends where tens of thousands of concerned citizens camped out in front of Entergy, would give the NRC pause for thought. A few hundred protesters showing up in front of Hilary Clinton and Chuck Shumer's district offices would force them to give us more than lip service and a few false promises.

Saying no to $50 Billion in loan guarantees is only a part of the answer. We need musicians, politicians and average citizens to stand up for the 67 American communities being forced to continue hosting dangerous old reactors. We as a nation need to demand that Washington ABOLISH the Price Anderson Act. We saw what happened to the citizens of New Orleans...should we see hundreds of thousands of Americans loose everything in a nuclear incident or terrorist attack on a Nuclear Reactor because our government has given the nuclear industry a FREE FROM LIABILITY CARD? Should Americans be denied the right to insure their homes for the losses that would occur as a result of one of these old reactors visiting a Chernobyl on our communities?

Please, if you live within the 50 mile circle of death that is Indian Point, if you live in New Jersey, New York or Connecticut join the fight to close these dangerous facilities. It takes a village to raise a child, it takes two aging nuclear reactors to kill thousands of those same children.

Entergy, Indian Point Lying Again...Have No Intent of Meeting August 24th Siren Deadline

Entergy has known for quite some time now (notified NRC in May) that they will not be able to meet the August 24th Siren system deadline. Question is, will the NRC start fining them on a daily basis, or instead bend over backwards and MODIFY their order in a fashion that gives Indian Point more time to comply? Sure we will know where we stand on Friday...this from a July document from the NRC:

Pursuant to section 223 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, any person who willfully violates, attempts to violate, or conspires to violate, any provision of this Order shall be subject to criminal prosecution as set forth in that section. Violations of this Order will result in additional enforcement action. Also, the requirements of this Order may be modified or relaxed by the Director, Office of Enforcement, where good cause is shown, such as implementation delays that clearly were not under the control of Entergy. In addition, the NRC has been verbally informed by Entergy that some additional time beyond August 24, 2007, may be needed to place the new ENS in service, and that if so, Entergy would supplement its May 23, 2007 response to the NOV. NRC will review Entergy’s supplemental response, if submitted, and may modify or relax this Order, if appropriate, as provided in the enclosed Order.

Richard Barkley, NRC Trying To Keep Public From Crucial License Renewal Documents

Last week, before the NRC officially announced its acceptance of the flawed Entergy License Renewal Application for the failing, aged and leaking nuclear reactors known as Indian Point 2 and 3, the Green Nuclear Butterfly made a request for several very important documents. Specifically, Sherwood Martinelli and the GNB requested documents crucial in compiling and defending our contentions, including:

1. PSAR
2. FSAR
3. UFSAR
4. The Estinghouse Power Uprate PSAR

To prove that Indian Point is well outside it's DB, and to show it is in, and would during the period of relicense be out of compliance with both Appendix B and R, a full and complete review of these documents is imperiative. Richard Barkley tried to hedge his bets by saying those documents were removed from the ADAMS public document area, and it might take a bit of time to get make arrangements for us to see those documents in question...he was supposed to get back to me the very next day on this issue, and FAILED TOO.

To cover our teams efforts, we immediately began preparing yet another FOIA, so that we have and extensive record of NRC's foot dragging, and out right refusal to cooperate in document production. Being concerned about the NRC's attempts to hide these documents, which are of the utmost importance to any community wanting to have the scientific and regulatory answers necessary to defend their contentions, I did a bit of snooping.

Seems that the NRC gave the New York State Attorney's office a copy of one of the documents our organization wants, the FSAR (Final Safety Analysis Report) by accident. I say by accident, because the New York AG's office had not specifically requested it (as we have). Soon afterward, the NRC forbid the AG's office from SHARING THIS DOCUMENT, and is in fact and deed, now making serious efforts to have said document returned to the NRC.

So, how far is the NEI, NRC, DOE and Entergy willing to go to keep crucial documents out of the hands of the general public...this author will not be surprised if they would be willing to use hit men, or federal government death squads in the name of preserving their dearly beloved Nuclear Renaissance.

New York City Steam Pipe Explosion Should Be Indian Point Wake Up Call

We all remember last weeks monumentally frightening steam pipe explosion in New York City, and the instant fears of another 9/11. Mayor Bloomberg was quick to rush to the airwaves with the message it was not a terrorist attack, but a simple infrastructure failure. In the aftermath, we have learned it was the simple failure of a steam pipe recently inspected by Con Ed. You know, one of the companies, much like Entergy that owned and mismanaged Indian Point for a period of time.

Eye witnesses stated the massive explosion felt like a volcano going off, and the hole created was large enough to swallow a tow truck, as debris, including concrete and asbestos rained down upon those unfortunate enough to be close to this instant hell on earth as hot scalding steam raced towards the heavens. Numerous people were injured, two seriously, and one person was killed instantly.

The best analogy for this accident, is that one fear was allayed, while another was created for those with reasonable minds. The explosion, the failure of infrastructure was not another terrorist attack on New York City. The new fear though, is Indian Point has a lot of aged, failing steam pipes buried underground at the Indian Point nuclear reactor site that is leaking tritium and strontium 90 into the Hudson River, just a scant 24 miles up the river from New York.

Entergy has a license renewal application pending with the NRC for these ancient nuclear relics, wants permission to continue operating Indian Point for another 24 years in the name of a Nuclear Renaissance. The only real issue that the NRC allows citizens to discuss regarding this application, is the adequacy of Entergy's Aging Management Plan...which in short, amounts to a series of inspections, very similar to the one Con Edison performed on New York's exploding steam pipe in downtown Manhattan just before it exploded. Even more disturbing, is many of the pipes that run under Indian Point are BURIED in concrete, with no way of accessing them for inspection. Much the same reality exists with many of the failing weld joints hidden deep within the bowels of the reactors themselves, Entergy staff at best is playing guess work as they listen to ever changing ultrasonic sounds. Known issues of equipment failure, violations of NRC regulations are swept under the carpet time and again as the NRC grants exemptions to their regulations meant to protect human health and the environment with the issuance of generic findings.

Mayor Bloomberg's assurances of "just failing infrastructure" carry with them a potentially dire and disturbing warning. Obviously, a similar event, a matching steam pipe explosion at the poorly run and mismanaged Indian Point would bring with it far more catastrophic repercussions than last weeks explosion in New York City. After all, we already know of numerous leaks at the Entergy owned reactor site that cannot be pinpointed, found and repaired. We also are very well aware that Indian Point, much like the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant owned by TEPCO sits atop an earthquake fault line. Couple these known and serious issues with known cracks in the reactor domes, and rusting steel liners, one has to wonder what the NRC is thinking in even considering the relicense of such a trouble plagued reactor site sitting smack dab in the middle of 21 million people.

Both Entergy and the NRC attempt to placate the citizens of the host community here in the four county area (Westchester, Orange, Rockland and Dutchess) with false assurances of strict oversight, and a sound evacuation plan should a significant nuclear incident or terrorist attack affect the Indian Point facility. These false promises at best are a cruel hoax on our community, and on every community playing host to these ancient nuclear relics. At this years Annual Assessment Meeting for the Indian Point facility, Sam Collins of the NRC grudgingly admitted to the audience that in the case of a fast moving event and/or terrorist attack at Entergy's failing reactor site, the evacuation plan would not work, and instead citizens would be sheltered in place until it was safe to evacuate. The DeWitt report commissioned by then Governor Pataki has already proven the evacuation plan is fundamentally flawed, so sheltering was and is the only possible option for our citizens.

Sheltering in place amounts to having citizens hiding in their basements with a small cache of basic survival supplies, such as water and pre-packaged food stuffs, and a radio that works on battery power. The NRC suggests having enough supplies to last for three days, but our government's State Department web site has a completely different criteria, suggesting citizens could be sheltered in place for three weeks or more in the case of a serious nuclear incident. Far more disturbing, is information found on the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) website regarding sheltering in place. According to their internal study on sheltering, citizens hiding in a wood frame or brick home in a concrete basement would only be afforded a 40 percent level of protection during a nuclear incident...no basement, and this level of protection drops to a dismal 10 percent. How many citizens live in trailer parks similar to the one located on Route 9 just a few miles from Indian Point?

Just a simple infrastructure failure...America's 104 aged and failing reactors are reaching the end of their originally designed 40 year life span. Many of the companies that manufactured parts for these relics are long gone, replacement parts, like hens teeth hard to find. The NRC has admitted they have little knowledge of the aging effects of reactors being bombarded by radioactive particulates, yet in the name of a Nuclear Renaissance want to play Russian Roulette with the safety and health of 67 host communities here in America. That bursting steam pipe in downtown New York must be a wake up call for the citizens of New York. With the lives of 21 million people at stake, we cannot risk having Indian Point operating in our midst for another 20 years. Hear the warning, heed the call and get plugged in too the actions aimed at stopping the license renewal application. Only through citizen involvement and outrage can we get Washington, DC and the NRC to listen, only through citizen action can we see Entergy's application denied.

TEPCO Promise To Restore Confidence Misses The Mark

After previous scandals, and corporate chicanery, Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) created a vision page on their web site that outlines their plans and promises to restore confidence and integrity to their company. The lies and coverup of the truth after the devastating earthquake earlier this week leads one to believe that NOTHING HAS CHANGED...for our readers enjoyment we have taken the liberty of posting their page below, with our own added commentary in red.

Improving the Corporate Culture
In September 2002, TEPCO implemented countermeasures to guard against a reoccurrence of incidents with regard to inspection and maintenance operations at our nuclear power stations. At the same time, the Company announced four commitments in the interest of creating a "Corporate system and climate of individual responsibility and initiative." The actualization of the four commitments has been adopted as our social mission, and the entire Company is deeply involved in the effort.

How involved can they really be in this social mission if they hid radioactive leaks from members of the host community around the plant for almost nine hours?

To restore public confidence, it is essential to give top priority to safety in our operations. However, every employee from management to the front line of operations must once again consider that a "sense of security" can be gained only when two vital factors are both satisfied: "Assuring Safety" and "Building Mutual Trust."

Giving top priority to safety does not mean hiding the truth. Giving top priority to safety does not mean keeping the truth from the courts about a known earthquake fault in the name of getting a citizens law suit dismissed. Building mutual trust requires FULL DISCLOSURE, and it is a pretty safe bet that we still do not have the FULL TRUTH from TEPCO regarding the level of damage done to their reactors during and following the earthquake.

Through strict safety procedures, TEPCO must make every effort to restore public confidence, beginning with the citizens of the regions in which its plants are located and extending to society at large.
Think we all can agree that TEPCO is failing miserably in their efforts to restore public confidence with anyone.

1. Promoting disclosure of information and ensuring transparency of nuclear operations. Through conducting thorough information disclosure, TEPCO has established a system of independent inspections, and is highly transparent in the operation of its power generation plants.

- Disclose information on the management and operation of our nuclear power stations, so the public is able to confirm that our plants are being operated safely
- Established a scheme to check nuclear safety and quality control by a third party.

After all the hiding of SERIOUS safety issues earlier this week, seems the only way TEPCO could prove they have any integrity at all, is too now agree to and Independent Safety Assessment (ISA). The assessment team should include at least two members from the host community (average citizens), and two members of anti-nuclear grassroots organizations to act as watchdogs.

- Establish a quality assurance system in the Nuclear Power Division. We see this is not working out all that well.
- Energize internal communications to share an awareness of issues through every stratum and division of the Company. Not working, or there would not have been so many horrid mistakes made in the aftermath of the earthquake.
- Encourage exchange of views between the Nuclear Power Division and other divisions.

4. Promoting observance of corporate ethics. We will promote observance of corporate ethics in our operations through:

Have to wonder what kind of ethics include lying to the public, and cover up of serious radioactive leaks.

- Creating systems to ensure the observance of ethics
- Offering education and training
- Conducting internal and independent audits to keep a high degree of compliance

Mayor Orders Nuke Plant Closed, Company President Apologizes

The Mayor of KASHIWAZAKI, Japan has ordered Tokyo Electric Powers seven reactors shut down until they can prove they are SAFE! The NRC would have a shit fit if Andrew Spano ordered Indian Point shut down...after all, God Forbid Entergy's profits be impinged upon because of SAFETY ISSUES such as tritium and strontium 90 leaking into the Hudson River. Tokyo Electric Power's stock took a one percent hit yesterday, and sure the Mayor's announcement will see said stock tumble further. If the NRC actually starts enforcing its regulations at Entergy and Exelon nuclear reactors here in America, we could see similar stock plummets here as well. If there was ever a risky time to own Entergy stocks, right now seems to be it.

Indian Point represents almost 20 percent of Entergy's nuclear arsenal, and the aging brittled reactors have some serious problems...far more serious than those of the currently closed Tokyo Electric Power reactors that could remain closed for months, if not years. After all, the ground under the reactors WENT LIQUID for God's sake. Indian Point failed five of the six siting criteria back when they were originally licensed, and the fact said reactors sit on top of a earth quake fault line should seriously jeopardize their bid for relicense...SAY TUNED folks, as this fight is far from over, and when the dust settles, Westchester might yet rid themselves of these monsters.

Mayor Closes Quake-Hit Japan Nuke Plant

KASHIWAZAKI, Japan (AP) - The mayor ordered that a nuclear power plant hit by a strong earthquake be shut down Wednesday until its safety could be confirmed after a long list of problems - including radiation leaks, burst pipes and fires - came to light.

Kashiwazaki-Kariwa is the world's largest nuclear plant in power output capacity.

Signs of problems after Monday's quake came first not from the officials, but in a plume of smoke that rose up when the quake triggered a small fire at an electrical transformer.

It was announced only 12 hours later that the magnitude 6.8 temblor also caused a leak of about 315 gallons of water containing radioactive material. Officials said the water leak was well within safety standards. The water was flushed into the sea.

Later Tuesday, it said 50 cases of "malfunctioning and trouble" had been found. Four of the plant's seven reactors were running at the time of the quake, and they were all shut down automatically by a safety mechanism.

Officials said there was no harm to the environment, but acknowledged it took a day to discover about 100 drums of low-level nuclear waste that were overturned, some with the lids open.

Utility chief apologizes for problems at quake-hit nuke plant

KASHIWAZAKI, Japan (AP) - A top power official apologized for radioactive leaks and several other malfunctions that occurred at a Japanese nuclear plant after a deadly earthquake, but said the company's basic safety measures still worked.

The comments came just moments after the mayor of the local city hosting the power plant ordered the facility shut down until its safety can be confirmed.

Tsunehisa Katsumata, president of plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co., toured the site Wednesday morning, declaring it "a mess." The previous evening, his company released a list of dozens of problems triggered by Monday's 6.8-magnitude quake.

"It is hard to make everything go perfectly," Katsumata said.

"We will conduct an investigation from the ground up. But I think fundamentally we have confirmed that our safety measures worked," he said.

While TEPCO says the quake was stronger than planned for, it has said none of the problems posed serious threats to people or the environment.

Japanese Government, Tokyo Electric HIDE Radioactive Leak FROM PUBLIC

In shades of an NRC cover up that Bush would be proud of, seems that the Government of Japan, and the Tokyo Electric Company kept the public in the dark about hundreds of gallons of radioactive materials spewing into the sea after the early morning earthquake. Seems that Japan has taken a page out of the NEI/NRC play book...if there is and accident, try to cover it up, and keep the news from the general public for as long as you can. Which explains why it is that NRC/DOE and FEMA have a whole bunch of FAKE news pieces in the can for when the major nuclear incident hits here in America, more than likely at Indian Point, since Entergy's failing reactor on the Hudson is a serious target for results minded terrorists around the world. After all, if we knew the truth, we would NEVER voluntarily shelter in place, but like lambs to slaughter, that is just what Entergy and the NRC have planned for us...sheltering in place, sentencing us to slow deaths with a skant 40 percent level of protection from the fallout after a terrorist attack, or significant incident at the plant. Guess the money players in Japan were thinking along similiar strategy lines in keeping the public stupid today.

KASHIWAZAKI, Japan (AP) - A strong earthquake shook Japan's northwest coast Monday, setting off a fire at the world's most powerful nuclear power plant and causing a reactor to spill radioactive water into the sea - an accident not reported to the public for hours.

The 6.8-magnitude temblor killed at least 8 people and injured more than 900 as it toppled hundreds of wooden homes and tore 3-foot-wide fissures in the ground. Highways and bridges buckled, leaving officials struggling to get emergency supplies into the region.

Some 10,000 people fled to evacuation centers as aftershocks rattled the area. Tens of thousands of homes were left without water or power.

The quake triggered a fire in an electrical transformer and also caused a leak of radioactive water at the Kashiwazaki Kariwa nuclear power plant, the world's largest in terms of electricity output.

The leak was not announced until the evening, many hours after the quake. That fed fresh concerns about the safety of Japan's 55 nuclear reactors, which supply 30 percent of the quake-prone country's electricity and have suffered a long string of accidents and cover-ups.

Curious here...does Entergy have a financial interest or stake in Japan's problem plagued Nuclear industry? If the littany of mistakes, problems, and leaks is any example, the Green Nuclear Butterfly is betting that Entergy has a stake in Japan's nuclear present and future, and that is a scary thought indeed.

What kind of a Entergy idiot comes to a anti nuclear blog tossing out plant security information? I made a post regarding an explosive laden vehicle, pointing out how wrong sighted the NRC is in limiting the size to a 4x4 vehicle...someone who seems to know a whole lot about Indian Point posted a comment as Anonymous on the Green Nuclear Butterfly blog, pointing out all the reasons why I am an unreasonable person, explaining in great detail (be it real information or imaginary information) why Indian Point was/is immune from a terrorist successfully getting an explosives laden vehicle onto the plant sight.

A part of the reasoning employed by this person, is that any BIG TRUCK coming on to the Indian Point plant legally is going to already have some serious clearance, and it's travel will be traced from it's departure sight to Indian Point. Kind of like the over turned truck in North Carolina, or perhaps like the radioactive material Indian Point sent to the wrong facility kind of tracking? Or are we talking the kind of security that saw Indian Point's evacuation code software sent to a sister plant via the mail by mistake kind of security? Or perhaps this person is talking about the Indian Point security where intrusion alarms are ignored as it is assumed a small animal has comprimised security. Maybe it is the kind of Entergy security that saw a control room employee sleeping?

Seems that any AUTHORIZED large truck will be Lojack monitored, and voice coached all the way into the facility. Further, any such LARGE VEHICLE with special circumstances will even have helicopter surveillance as it heads towards, and arrives at the plant. Any unauuthorized vehicles, according to this comment poster would be STOPPED by berms and vehicle barriers, which are always in place. OK, we know about these vehicle barriers, and how inadequate they could be under the right situation.

The commenter then talks about Indian Points GREAT WALL...like the one along the river, where anyone can stand across the river from the plant any time they want? You mean the great wall, where someone could lob shoulder launched grenades/rockets at will for a limited period of time, the same shoulder launched grenades, rockets and even mortars that the NRC eliminated from the DBT. Further, lets keep something in mind as we explore security at Indian Point...a truck bomb set off in Iraq today killed 105 people...would this commenter have us believe, that Indian Point can stop vehicle bombs at the plant, when our military forces are having no such luck stopping suicide bombers in Iraq, who seem capable of attacking when and where they want at will?

The poster seems absolutely sure, that Indian Point's WALL of concrete can stop anything up to, and including a M1A1 Main Battle tank...ODD, Bush has told us a wall will not keep out illegal aliens, that building a fence/wall along our Souther border with Mexico will not stop illegal aliens from gaining entry, but we are too believe that Indian Point's comedy of errors security force can stop a determined group of say 20 well trained terrorists? Further, what if said explosives laden vehicle is not the main attack, but a diversion...oh, let us guess, the poster would have us believe Indian Point would know this, and thus ignore the attack, let the truck harmlessly explode...

Further, according to the commenter,Indian Point has posted deliberately misleading road signs at Indian Point, that will lead the intruders into a DISARM AND KILL zone far away from the reactors. Sure, a terrorist is going to be looking for road signs if they get onto the sight, they would not have taken the time to download from the internet the various assorted maps and aerial views of the sight. Further, sure a fake sign leading them away from the highly visiable reactors would FOOL THEM!

I've posted the commenters remarks below in their entirety...I give them little if any credibility, but do ask this question. If this person is really in the know, if some of the security enhancements he speaks about are true, what is he doing sharing them out on the internet?

Porgie, should I just say right off that you are a VERY unrealistic individual, which means almost any objection you can bring up is nonsense, on its face. That said, lets dive into your "Large explosive laden truck" scenario.

First, large trucks are an oddity at Indian Point. Trucks over a certain size, length, and weight cannot enter the site by any means at all. Any such oversize arrivals must be tightly coordinated with a security sponsor, for a gate removal. The truck so favored will be Lojack-monitored (and voice-coached) every inch of its travel from its source, to its arrival outside, but not in, Indian Point. If any special circumstances attach, the said truck will even be overflown by helicopter surveillance during its entire trip.

The arrival/acceptance area at Indian Point is over a mile from any vital machinery, and is so situated that a series of earth mounds, or berms, intervene between the gate and the plant. Let us say that Indian Point decides to test these provisions by exploding a large truck at the arrival area. The force of the explosion will be directed upward, into the air , dissipating harmlessly.

Let us now revert to consideration of a hostile large truck, without an overflight, without a security sponsor. It can not enter the plant under any circumstances. The preventive vehicle barriers which are always in place, will not be removed, and so said truck can explode in Buchanan, or at 351 Dyckman Street Peekskill, but it cannot explode within a mile of Indian Point nuclear plant.

Moreover, even if the truck were aided and abetted by a sleeper Al Qaeda operative posing as its security sponsor, and gained a gate removal operation, the areas accessible for large vehicles outside "The Great Wall of IPEC" do not intersect with any vehicle lanes coming near any vital equipment.

Any vehicle-accessible area at IPEC is strictly segregated from any vital machinery, and the segregation is rather large and chunky--- 8 foot high, 8 foot thick reinforced concrete wall barriers insurmountable even by M1A1 Main Battle tanks.

Moreover, intentionally deceptive road signposts have been installed, to be ignored by those in the know, but directing any unsuspecting newbie into a "Disarm and Kill" area set aside for security problems, in a corner of the campus not containing any vital machinery.

Updates From Yesterday's Public Meeting On Indian Point License Renewal Application

First, the knuckle draggers were out in full force attempting to intimidate those wanting Indian Point's license renewal appliation to be denied. What was interesting, is several of the Union members admitted they showed up to STAY OUT OF TROUBLE. So, Entergy and/or the union are making attendance at these public meetings mandatory, creating in effect a FALSE show of support for the failing, leaking reactors at Indian Point. One of Entergy's employees (who we outed on this blog) got rather hostile, but then that is to be expected, since none of these men seem to have the ability to intellectually discuss the issue, but instead stoop to verbal and written attacks, both here on the Internet, and/or in real time such as at the meeting. Seems to me, if they are going to attend these public meetings, they could at least LEARN and EDUCATE themselves on the issues, rather than relying on flash cards held up in front of them while they fed their faces at the Entergy Food Spread in an adjoining room.

It has been requested, that prior to starting 60 day intervener clock , the NRC must require Entergy to place all documents referred to and incorporated in the application be made available for inspection in a public place. (Roni, a lying, twit if there ever was one, of the NRC, argued absurdly that public availability would violate copyright, honestly if that violates copyright then there could be no books in the libraries). The real truth...the NRC and Entergy want to keep the public as ignorant as possible.

List of all criteria under which a new license would be denied. This is the third time this request has been verbalized to the NRC, and so far Richard Barkley (NRC point person) has been less than cooperative on this.

List of what systems and components are specifically within scope. Again, they are trying to keep us from having a realistic idea of the components included and within scope for purposes of our contentions.

List of all deviations and exemptions granted to all three plants. Again, this is a request that has been submitted before, and the NRC keeps saying the same thing over and over again, "We are working on it."

List of all underground pipes, composition, footage, and what is running through them.

Electrical separation repair/mediating documents and a walk down -This request dates back to Congresswoman Sue Kelly, and we are STILL WAITING.

Require that all ASLAB and other meetings regarding relicensing be held in Westchester (county center), not in NRC's backyard where they can easily swamp the facility with UNION THUGS.

Seeking a determination by the NRC whether there is even enough room on the site for the waste, both in pool and dry casks (with and without cooling towers).

GENERAL NOTE: Over 36 people signed up to speak. The NRC once again stopped the meeting before everyone who wanted to speak had a chance, and said the place was closing (not true), but they didn't want to rent it longer. If people make the effort to come to a meeting they should be given the chance to speak. This has been and on going issue and complaint that Richard Barkley is well aware of, but as usual, the NRC is far more concerned about keeping the public voice silent than seeing meaningful public participation in the process. As was so elequently stated in the afternoon meeting, perhaps the time has come, since the NRC is so dismally failing in protecting human health and safety that they all need to resign.

Doric Maldernero: Suez United Water is planning to use desalination for Rockland drinking water.

Philip Musegaas NRC is trying to limit who are allowed stakeholder status, but he made the point that the Hudson River is everyone's, therefore everyone along Hudson has standing or NYS. Further, in the case of a significant incident, where is the stakeholder line drawn?

Philip Musegaas also raised the issue that IP 1 is in violation of it's SAFESTOR agreement because there are radiological releases.

Ken Olin: About the 1996 Generic Impact Statement how it is applied differently for new construction and existing plants. They said that because it's new construction there is a larger impact, however in the relicense situation there is enormous construction as well, regarding the dry cask field, and the probability that replacement of the domes is necessary during the time of relicense (REFURBISHMENT).

1996 Environmental Impact Statement is being rewritten - they have therefore acknowledged that it is out date - post 9/11. Seems there is a contention in there some place.

Excuse us Mr. Mayor, but Peekskill faces the same risks as your community, with NONE OF THOSE TAXES BENEFITS, and there are a lot more of us here. Maybe you need to wean yourself off the swine teat, and start being honest about the risks Indian Point poses to all of us. Further...for clarification, less than THIRTY Indian Point workers live in Buchanan, and the majority of the Indian Point workers have located themselves out of harm's way, choosing to commute in from Dutchess county.

Susan Spear - John Hall's office - read statement. We see how sincere (or not) he is about his promise to SHUT DOWN INDIAN POINT...seems to me, that he himself could find the time to attend such important public meetings...after all, there are only three of them in the entire relicensing process.

The Atomic Legacy-Nuclear Dead Babies

As we move ever closer to getting this project up and running in a big way, it will be shown publicly we are hoping this coming week at the Indian Point relicensing meeting, there has been some slack about the theme. People find it harsh, in your face, our accusations of nuclear energy amounting to an abortion machine akin to feat mongering. Others wonder where we came up with the idea for the Indian Point Dead Baby World Tour.

There are several reasons to have settled on this theme, including Elena's incredibly heart wrenching photographs of the fallout area in and around Chernobyl, and the abandoned dolls she has come across in her travels.

Another crucial reason for the Nuclear Dead Baby, is that dolls have been a part of the horror that is nuclear from the very beginning of the supposed Friendly Atom. If you research old photographs from the various and assorted atomic tests in the name of military/commercial atomic energy, research the Friendly Atom, you'll find dolls were a routine participant in those early days. Their gruesome poses, haunting expression adding a surreal reality to the message that nuclear kills. Seems that my article, "Trail of Nuclear Tears-Exposing Nuclear's Horrid Truths", posted here on this blog, and picked up by OpEd which uncovers some of the lies that are the nuclear industry has the NEI (Nuclear Energy Institute) and their Nuclear Notes bloggers in and uproar. The good news, is they are once again caught in another lie, and have shown again they are incapable of discussing in a rational manner issues brought up that they would as soon never see the light of day. Such as the FACT that the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in its fifty years of operation consumed enough coal supplied electricity to meet all of the energy needs for Los Angeles county for a period of 18,250 years...that is a BOAT LOAD OF CO2!

Seems Michael Stuart is so incapable of controlling his emotions and personal bias that he instantly goes into attack mode, and trys to discredit the author of the article (me) and my blog, the Green Nuclear Butterfly by cross pollenating comments in the Nuclear Notes blog, and here. I suppose I should be honored, since he attacks Helen Caldicott in the NEI blog post with the same venom and hatred aimed at myself. Michael in his childish fit of rage accuses Ms. Caldicott of lying and manipulating data, while ignoring the very real fact that it took and act of Congress to force the DOE to provide compensation and medical help to nuclear workers dying of cancers caused by their exposure in the nuclear work place. Further, DOE's own studies now admit that at least 22 cancers have direct links to a persons exposure to radioactive contaminants.

This same VERMIN then comments on his own article, complaining that Green Nuclear Butterfly filters comments from readers, then falsely claims, that the NEI blog allows unmoderated comments. To verify this statement on the part of and NEI employee (assuming this since he writes on/for the NEI Nuclear Notes Blog) I posted a comment to said blog...when said comment was posted by the Green Nuclear Butterfly, we received the following notification from the NEI Nuclear Notes Blog posted below. Maybe Michael needs to meet up with Rod Adams and the two of them can cry in their beer.

The same person, or groups of persons who have lobbed up onto the internet various and assorted meanspirited hate filled blogs against Green Nuclear Butterfly and its publisher seem to have esculated their campaign of intimidation against us. As many of our readers know, Sherwood Martinelli (that would be me) of Green Nuclear Butterfly was at the Clearwater Festival this past weekend collecting signatures on a very crucial Petition for Rulemaking that will be sent out to the NRC this week.

This morning, checking my email I was at first pleased to see someone had left a comment on our blog...I was far from pleased to open said comment, and find therein a death threat. If Entergy, Indian Point their employees and supporters do not like our anti nuclear positions, they should step forward from out of the shadows and debate us on the issue. Stooping to threats, intimidation, outing of personal information, and now death threats is not positive discourse.

I write about this, as I see a troubling escalation in these threats and intimidation that I recognize from my previous activists activities regarding another NRC licensee and their unionized work force. I've been run off the road returning home from a meeting, and trust me it is not an experince any one should have to endure. I share this incident with our readers for one reason...even though we have good reason to believe that these threats are coming from a nuclear insider, the NRC could care less. Even though they are charged with protecting human health and safety in a stakeholder community, they have no mechanisms to investigate when the Pro-Nuclear side (possibly even licensee employees) decides to use threats of bodily harm and intimidation against stakeholders who oppose the continued operation of a failing nuclear facility.

At the Annual Assessment meeting in April, when union workers associated with Indian Point were brought in by the droves to all but block the entrance to the meeting, intimidate members of the public by the shear force of their numbers, the NRC did nothing to clear them away from the entrance to the building. You can bet, that if 1000 anti nuclear stakeholders all showed up in similiar numbers something would have been done to disperse us. Even more disturbing...these people who showed up, who voiced quiet threats, who deliberately took up positions on the steps leading into the building were ordered to be there, were paid for their presense at the meeting.

These same Union Members had no problems in wanting/demanding cans of the free Energy Drink (Radioactive Energy) that Green Nuclear Butterfly was handing out at the meeting, but when they realized one of our members had snapped pictures of them for publication in our blog, they not so subtly let us know we had not best publish them, as they would find us. Unfortunately, their threats and intimidation worked, as the person who snapped the pictures, worried about personal safety decided not to put them up on our blog, or anywhere else. Oh well, lesson learned, next time I'll bring my own camera.

Speaking of cameras...anyone from the Anti Nuclear movement want to volunteer to film next Week's NRC meeting on relicensing? As we know, the NRC deliberately does not record or document these meetings, so that anything they say or admit cannot be used against them...IE, in the last public meeting, Sam Collins of the NRC stated very clearly that in the case of a fast moving incident at Indian Point, evacuation will not work...we should have had video footage of that comment upon on YouTube hours after the meeting.

Thoughts After A Full Day at Clearwater Festival

It's 10:21 PM, Saturday June 16th, 2007 and I have just spent the entire day at the Clearwater Festival over in Croton on The Hudson as a volunteer. We accomplished, it is hoped, some wonderful things. Not sure for how long, but planning on being back there again tomorrow beating the pavement for more signatures.

Our Petition for Rule Making which will be filed with the NRC next week now has over 50 signatures on it...a good start, though had hoped for far more. Our location could have been a lot better, and in the lessons learned department, I should have opted for my own booth as the Green Nuclear Butterfly. We also had around 70 people who have an interest in being interveners sign up to attend and as yet to be announced informational meeting on what that will entail on their part. Being honest, I am afraid being and intervener is more work, and requires a lot more dedication and time than most can, or are willing to muster.

Met some delightfully wonderful people manning the table, including a very interesting person by the name of Paul, but more on that conversation in a later post as I am bushed. Congressman John Hall stopped by the booth to say hello...I was for the most part polite, but unless the air is cleared, I have some very serious reservations at this point where he is concerned. Think he means well, but he's not really a fighter, and we are not going to win this fight being mush balls. We need some testosterone in this movement if we are going to close Indian Point, need LOTS of people who are not afraid of some serious old school civil disobedience. Had two different people associated with Clearwater today tell me that my research abilities and passion for the fight are admired, but that quite a few people consider me a loose cannon...well, maybe we need a few more loose cannons.

One thing is really bothering me...waging a intervenor war with Entergy and the NRC, win, lose or draw is going to take money, and quite a bit of it. Unless you can back up your claims and allegations with experts, you, simply stated, are DEAD IN THE WATER. We have 21 Million people that live within 50 miles of Indian Point...if even 10 percent of them donated just ONE DOLLAR each, we would have a magnificent chance of giving the other side a serious run for their money...I have suggested a $1.00 donation campaign for the IPSEC committee working on a comprehensive Petition to Intervene, and I am also sharing that idea here, but with my own organizations name on the idea. If you are reading this, surely you can afford one dollar towards the legal and expert testimony costs involved in this fight? Surely you have friends that would toss in one dollar? Is one dollar to much to ask for, to much to give towards a battle that is our only hope to see Entergy's Indian Point reactors decommissioned? Riverkeeper sent out a letter to its faithful asking for a donation of $500 dollars...great if they can get the money, and use it effectively. Personally, I believe it is the average work-a-day citizens that can win this fight, our one dollar donations that can build a legal machine capable of taking on Goliath and winning the war...so how about it, if you are reading this, can you spare one dollar? Can you post this message to your groups, email it out to your friends?

INDIAN POINT BATTLE IS ON

Background: Indian Point Nuclear Plant is located just 24-miles from New York City, 3 miles from West Point. It is the only nuclear plant in the country surrounded by 21 million people. There is no possible evacuation plan for the area. Indian Point is aging, corroding and leaking radioactive waste into the groundwater and the Hudson River.

Indian Point is also recognized to be one of the most attractive terrorist targets in the nation. (American flight 11 soared right by it minutes before smashing into the World Trade Center.)

Entergy, the owner/operator of Indian Point, now wants to squeeze every dollar of profit out of this aging plant and has filed an application to keep it operating 20 years beyond its expiration in 2013 for Indian Point 2 and 2015 for Indian Point 3. Instead of protecting the public health and safety, the NRC protects the profits of the nuclear industry.

CURRENT SITUATION: Green Nuclear Butterfly is a grassroots alliance that is working on legal grounds which could prevent the granting of new licenses for Indian Point’s two deteriorating and dangerous nuclear reactors. Helen Caldicott-Nuclear Not So Green

I know that nuclear is not green, have been trying to make people aware of that with this blog. For my efforts, I have been ridiculed, had hate blogs launched against me, and even received a few well intentioned death threats...how quaint. If there is good news in that, I am in good company, as Helen Caldicott has endured much the same, and yet was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. I had to laugh when reading the article below when Helen Caldicott quipped after being questioned about the lack of recent death threats that she just was not talking loud enough.

She has a new book out, "Nuclear Is Not The Answer" that every citizen within 50 miles of a nuclear reactor needs to read. Actually, with the Bush administrations plans to put a nuclear reactor on every street corner, every American Should read this story.

Nuke power not so clean or green

Cold War-era nuclear fears have eased in recent decades, replaced by anxieties over global warming. Lately, in some circles, nuclear power has gained a new reputation as a pollution-free cure-all for a world starved for clean energy.

But the nuclear industry hasn't cleaned up its act, according to Helen Caldicott, who spearheaded the nuclear disarmament movement in the 1980s. (Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling nominated Caldicott for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1985.) Caldicott, a pediatrician by training, has devoted 35 years to an international campaign to educate the public about the health hazards of nuclear power.

Not only is atomic energy inefficient, but it adds to greenhouse gas emissions while releasing deadly radiation for countless generations, argues Caldicott. Her recent work is summed up by the title of her book Nuclear Power Is Not the Answer.

She is working with the Nuclear Policy Research Institute, which she founded, to convince Congress that solar and wind power instead can mitigate global warming.

Caldicott is known for courting controversy, whether by debating with world leaders, marching naked in the streets of San Francisco, or implying that Hershey sold radioactive chocolates containing milk produced near the Three Mile Island disaster. While she no longer receives death threats as she did in the 1980s, Caldicott told CNET that just proves that her voice hasn't been loud enough lately.
